Delaying the inevitable

Woot! 1 pound down since this blog started!

But there's still a long way to go. Which brings me to acknowledging something I've been diligently trying to ignore.

While Weight Watchers is going well as far as helping me learn portion control and make smarter choices about what I eat, there's still the matter of becoming more active.

See, the other princesses have something I currently don't (other than a nice figure): an active lifestyle.

Cinderella and Snow White had chores every day to keep them up and moving.

Under the sea, there's no such thing as public transportation.

Unfortunately, my lifestyle is more like...

Most of my time is spent in front of my computer, whether its school work, leisure, or updating this blog.

My prince talked about hitting the gym, and I don't disagree with him. The problem is finding the right TIME to do it, and the right PLACE.
He has free access to the gym at his workplace, which is convenient for him, but I can't access it without being a spouse (We haven't hit the royal wedding quite yet. We're waiting until after I graduate.). We found a local fitness center we're considering a membership to.
He also wants to go before work...meaning getting up at 6 a.m.

Yeah...I don't know how well that one is gonna work out. I like my sleep. My bed and I have a wonderful relationship and I'd hate to have to choose between it and my prince.

I know, I know, I'm making excuses.

We'd both like it if we could get back into Krav Maga. For those that have no idea what that is, it's a martial art geared more towards survival than tournaments. There's a local school for it here that is AMAZING.

But finances need to lean a little more in our favor in order to do that.

For now, I'm going to try and make an effort to take advantage of the nice weather we've been having and go for afternoon walks around our neighborhood.
