I've seen memes and articles and questions over the internet asking why Disney hasn't made a fat princess yet.
She exists, she just doesn't get her own movie.
That would be me. I'm Andi, the 'other' princess. Primary reason I don't have my own movie? They kinda let me sit too long. Now I'm 28 years old, and I forgot to reserve a session with the Fairy Godmother before she quit and went to the Make-A-Wish foundation.
I'll tell you, being a shelf princess sucks. Because instead of this:

I'm more like:

How come you're so fat? Because my house is made of candy And sometimes I eat instead of facing my problems!
Right now the only dresses that fit are the ones I borrowed from the Queen of Hearts and the Fairy Godmother. Can't do princess in a getup like that.
But before I go on, let me make one thing clear. I've seen all of the anti-body-shaming campaigns, 'you're beautiful the way you are', etc etc. Idolizing the other princesses is, to some degree, a waste of time. I know I can't pull off Jasmine's look without removing my rib cage and cinching my waist so tight I shove all of my organs up into my boobs.

Seriously girl, where are your RIBS?!
But there is something to be said about wanting to be HEALTHY. I've been big almost my entire life, and now that I'm flirting with 30, I'm starting to feel what that's been doing to my body. My knees crack and creak, stairs are a challenge, and it takes more effort than it used to in order to get up from kneeling/sitting on the floor/laying down.
And while the other princesses may not necessarily have realistic hair or body proportions, they are HEALTHY.

Do you have any idea how much upper body strength this takes?
